Who we are
Labelwise is a product of Quiet Cockatoo Pty Ltd (ABN 25 702 904 934). For anything in this policy, email hello@labelwise.com.au.
What we collect now
- The waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the date and time you joined, and which form on the page you used. We use it only to tell you when payments open.
- What you type into the app. Your recipe and label details are sent to our server so it can work out the label, and the label is sent back to you. The server doesn't keep them: nothing you type into the app is stored on our server. The same goes for the free origin wording tool.
- Your recipes stay in your browser. The app saves your recipes, and your choice of pack style for the preview, in your browser's local storage on your own device. They don't leave it unless you export them. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
- Server logs. Like any website, our server logs each request: your IP address, the time and the path asked for. When you search for an ingredient, the path includes the words you searched for. We use the logs for security and to limit how often a form can be sent, and we keep them for 30 days. The rate limit itself remembers your IP address for 10 minutes.
No tracking
There are no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on the site or in the app, and no cookies. At launch there will be one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in.
Where your data is stored
Stored in Australia, except payments through Stripe. Our servers are in Sydney.
At launch
When payments open, this changes:
- Your account. You sign in with your email address.
- Your recipes and labels. We keep your recipes and every label you download, so you can reprint it.
- Payments. Stripe handles payments and sees your card details. We never see them.
- Backups. Our backups are kept in Sydney.
We will update this policy and its date before that happens.
Your rights
- You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@labelwise.com.au.
- We delete it within 30 days of your request, unless we must keep a record by law, such as a tax record of a payment.
- If you have a complaint about how we handle your information, tell us first. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
The Australian Privacy Principles
Our turnover is under the threshold at which the Australian Privacy Principles bind a business. We follow them anyway.
Changes
If we change this policy, we post the new version here with the date it was last updated.
